Ok, that's all great, but what is a code camp anyway?

First, allow me to tell you a little about what Code Camps are not...

  • Marketing (none, zero, zip, nada... there will be none of that.)
  • Expensive (nope. In fact, Code Camps are FREE!!)
  • Boring (well, we hope not. We think they are quite fun actually.)
  • Too Technical (we're offering a mix of beginner & advanced sessions.)
  • Microsoft Only (that's right, if you're into java, perl, python, etc... we want you here too!)

Ok, that's covered, here's more info about what Code Camps are...

  • ...put on by the local developer community, for the local developer community. They are a great way to meet other people in the community and see a little bit about what they are working on or their favorite technology.
  • ...FREE (I think we mentioned that above.)
  • ...on the weekend. We know you're busy and you can't take time to miss work, so we're donating our weekend to make this convenient for you! Now you have No Excuse at all!!
  • ...a chance to win some cool stuff. Previous Code Camps have given away XBoxs, copies of Visual Studio 2005 and TONS of books and tshirts.

We have made arrangements to hold the Code Camp at the Buck Mickel Center.

We could still use some more volunteers. Contact Denise Bice if you are interested.
